Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Skechers Women's Work Relaxed Fit: Felton - Albie Slip-Resistant Shoe by Adrienne Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

My fifth pair had bonded insoles which made using orthotics difficult.

I have bought this shoe 5 times in the last 2 years so I have a lot of experience with this style. The problem I have with this is that the last pair I bought have insoles that are glued into the shoes. This didn't happen with the other four pairs I bought. For those of us who need to wear either custom orthotics or higher quality orthotics than regular shoe insoles (some of us don't like memory foams), the only way to adjust my orthotics was to pry out the memory foam sockliner, which is from the top glued down and very difficult to remove (the other four pairs were not glued and came out easily). I now have expensive orthotics that I can't remove from my shoes because the strong adhesive was left in the shoes after the orthotic came out. So I hesitate to buy this style again. The reason I've bought them so many times is certainly not because of their style (they're bulky and ugly), but because they're the only shoes I've found that fit my post-op feet. I go through my streak a little quicker than others and as soon as I wear out a side too much I have to replace it. I've never had any issues with the sole detaching from the rest of the shoe, or any issues other than my own. But now I have a possible problem with the glued insole. There is good support in the forefoot when you need it. Most shoes talk about heel or arch support; I need forefoot support and that's good for me. I'm just worried about the insole issue and I hope it was just an accident. I will buy them again but this might be the last time. For the record, I buy them in a 9 1/2 or 10 (both are wider).

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
