Review on Hokuru Hori Knife Landscaping Sharpening by Brent Porter

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The handle broke within the first hour of use

Where I live the soil is a lot of clay so it's dense and it's difficult to pull weeds. I thought this hori-hori seemed sturdy enough to resist curiosity, but I was out in the garden picking dandelions when I heard a loud "CRACKING" noise. Upon examination, a hairline crack was found on the knife running the full length of the handle. I am extremely disappointed. The handle is also rectangular with very right angles, making it uncomfortable to use for long periods of time. Instead I would suggest going with the Nisaku NJP650.
