Other reviewers are 100% right, the instructions are pretty bad. But once you get the hang of it, you'll be very happy with this instant switch. It makes an excellent positive impression and the body is made of aluminum with good workmanship. The rear output is good and I like that you can unplug the wiring from the switch. This particular switch was perfect for my application because I wanted to avoid accidentally using the switch. Here is the use case I was working with. I needed a momentary switch to turn on the wireless mic. The wires from the radio head were two wires that when connected turned on the microphone. One wire, the black wire, was powered at 5V. The other, gray wire had no power (of course. A simple switch. Connect the two wires together and the circuit is complete). To be very clear, I wanted the LED to be on all the time, and I wanted the press of the switch button to turn the circuit on, rather than breaking the circuit that was already energized. Here is the schematic I used to power the LED (this is completely separate from the switch circuit): - Red wire on switch to 12V button power - Black wire to chassis ground Wiring diagram for switching: - Blue wire from Switch to black wire from radio head with 5V supply.
