wow! This speaker is BIG! Make sure you check the dimensions with the space available to ensure it will fit. I've had the same center speaker for 19 years. He has always been a champion and will remain so. But this Elac center channel speaker is something else. It looks like a large bookshelf speaker laying on its side and it sounds like a much larger speaker. The sound is fuller and more open. It's louder too. It also sounded great straight out of the box. I haven't had time to hack it, nor do I feel the need to. I'm sure it will sound warmer and smoother over time, but I have no complaints about how it sounds now. If for any reason you are hesitant to pull the trigger, don't. You will not regret it.
