Love these speakers ELAC

I have four rooms equipped with ELAC speakers (with added amplification in my theater). They all sound great and I recommend them to everyone - the best sound for a wide range price.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not sure

Perfect fit for ELAC UB5

I replaced a decent polk center channel I used with Elac UB5 fronts with this matching UC5. Doesn't matter. A lot can be said about the use of corresponding components. Get a great deal from OneCall when you buy in an open box. Arrived well packaged and in new condition. Now my system sounds even better for both home theater and music.

  • Handsome
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Great addition to a 2.1 system for dialogue

After a year of using a 2.1 Uni-Fi system and listening to music and movies, I realized I really needed a center channel to improve dialog clarity. My apartment doesn't have the best acoustics. The price of $350 was a bit discouraging and I hesitated for a long time until it dropped to $279 during Black Friday week. To be honest I was skeptical that it would make a difference given the previously installed center channels that did little. However, I was really pleasantly surprised and very…

Sounds great, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

I chose Elac. There is this central channel and the environment that goes with it. For the most part they were great. However, it was a rocky road with a central canal. The first one I bought had a dent in the center driver. Fearing that one day it would haunt me, I called elac support and they recommended returning it. So I did. The second one I bought worked great for about a month. Then there was a hum/vibration in the center speaker. Called elac support again and after some troubleshooting,

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Immediately sounds great

wow! This speaker is BIG! Make sure you check the dimensions with the space available to ensure it will fit. I've had the same center speaker for 19 years. He has always been a champion and will remain so. But this Elac center channel speaker is something else. It looks like a large bookshelf speaker laying on its side and it sounds like a much larger speaker. The sound is fuller and more open. It's louder too. It also sounded great straight out of the box. I haven't had time to hack it, nor do

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Straight Dope - Home Audio

I bought these to add to my (currently 3 channel) home theater system. I sold all of my Polk Audio gear to upgrade to a pair of Uni-Fi bookshelf speakers I found on the aftermarket. Much of that decision was based on online reviews like this one. My fiancΓ© immediately noticed an improvement in sound quality over previous Polks. Those of you in the know will attest that many of our partners don't care. She would agree, so this is a testament to this company's product. you noticed! To be honest…

Hold the box!

The speaker I received is defective. Something sounds wrong with the midrange or crossover. I'm sure the sound I'm getting isn't up to the standard that gave this Unifi series its name. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the sound quality because my device is clearly defective. Some voices, mostly women and children, seem to distort the sound. At first I thought it was my banana plugs. I removed them and connected them directly to the speaker. It didn't stop him so I figured it might be…

Pros
  • Complex crossover
Cons
  • Only available in black

A perfect match for my Uni-Fi 2.0 bookshelf speakers

Elac recently announced version 2.0 of their Uni-Fi bookshelf speakers and while there aren't many reviews yet, those that do are , overwhelmingly impressed by them from credible sources. I just bought a couple of 6" Debut 2.0 speakers before the new Uni-Fi 2.0 came out, and even though the Uni cost almost twice as much as the Debuts, I was looking for a great speaker set and turned down the speakers at only $1,000 -1700 range based on Debut 2.0 reviews Since price wasn't a major deciding…

Pros
  • Sophisticated aluminum woofer
Cons
  • So far so good

Great sounding center speaker!

A great sound upgrade for my center channel. My previous Infinity Primus PC251 center channel speaker never sounded as good as the Infinity Primus P363 speakers (front left and right). This speaker is a better match than the center channel from the same company and line of speakers. The fact that it's a different brand doesn't matter if it sounds good. The only thing that might be an issue is that I had to turn the center channel up to around +7 to hear the dialogue the way I wanted it…

Pros
  • Specially designed work stands
Cons
  • Little things
