I love these curlers! I rarely use heat to style my hair; I just curl my hair with these curlers and I get the volume, waves and curls I need. For waves, I gather a thicker section of hair and twist it; For curls I just use less hair. I often sleep with these curlers in my hair - it takes practice, but it's doable. :) If you have thin hair like me, you can use a clip at the base of the curler (near the scalp) to hold the curler firmly in place. I use a long bobby pin for this purpose and it works great.
