Review on 🔀 StarTech.com SV231DVIUA: Dual Link DVI KVM Switch with Hot-key, Audio Support, and 1920x1200 Resolution by William Burnett

The switch feels good but the firmware is VERY buggy. The first has not arrived yet and worked for about a week, then recovered. Automatically repeats the keys hundreds of times and switches to another computer for 1 second and then back. I chatted with their support team who responded quickly for those who are tech savvy and able to troubleshoot our USB cable etc issues themselves. Now the new switch doesn't have the previous problem, but now there are new USB problems. I am disconnected from the operating system while I am working. I don't mean a real fork. I mean the OS thinks my keyboard just got disabled. After 2 seconds it turns on again. Likewise, it sometimes takes a dozen plug-ins before my computer actually recognizes the device. Sometimes a reboot is required along with powering off the switch. I've tried different keyboards and USB cables with the same result. It is absolutely not worth the money and I wish I had never bought it. It's too late to send it back for a refund so I'm stuck
