I can assemble a Lego master set in a few days. I can make CubicFun kits in a few hours. Hell, I can even handle Ikea instructions. It was a disaster. The material is very thin balsa wood which makes it VERY difficult to push out and push each piece together. I'm a friendly girl and I broke at least three main pieces trying to piece this together. Also, you need to glue each part. Not only does it take a ton of time, the glue that came with my kit dried out so I had to get some wood glue. I'm almost done. But unless you really don't want to be VERY gentle/cautious and dig around and try to interpret pictographs with very fine details, I would go for something else. All in all, it's a neat object when made, but VERY fragile. Even unwinding is a cautious undertaking. I recently put together a CubicFun desktop clock and found the build MUCH nicer and the end product far more satisfying.
