Received this today and have been going around the house checking the kids temperature with an old oral thermometer and this one. The temps are pretty close together so I'm very happy with the money spent. My wife and I have 3 little girls and they absolutely hate taking their temperature with an oral thermometer because it takes so long. It literally takes a second and you're done. The optional built-in surface temperature reader is a bonus. I don't know exactly what I'm going to use it for at the moment, but it will be good when needed. Instructions were clear in the booklet that came with it and it even came with its own cloth carry case. This is a really good buy for the price they are selling it for.
