@ $12.99...that's too much for a silicone case. It costs $7-8 with a high profit margin. But $13. Well, I bought it anyway. The reason I bought it was because I keep losing that darn little remote control. This bright white case with multicolored faux buttons and an extra hand strap (included) reduces the risk of loss. The rubber material also helps keep it in place. Personally, I don't think it interferes with the remote's functions, including the touchpad. The lid even has a hole for the charging cable. The Apple remote itself is pretty durable, but if you buy it for "protection", it absorbs bumps and falls and hardly scratches it. But does not protect against all hazards such as big falls, accidental throws, or drink/soup accidents. It seems that this coating is durable and will last for several years. Personally I wouldn't recommend it for the price alone. I still have a problem with the reason for my purchase. But it's well designed, durable and fun.
