Very comfortable and did not make my head hot. The strap kept it on while riding in a boat and in the wind on the beach. And. I washed it in washer on delicate, air dried and looks like new. Bought this hat for beach trip to Florida. No sun burn on face or ears or very back of neck. The pony tail hole is awsome too.
