Review on ๐Ÿฆต ProCare Leg Rest and Elevator by Sandi Alexander

hardened and painful, and the painful massage took a long time

I had two surgeries recently; first a knee split replacement on the right knee where I had no leg brace and a knee split replacement plus anterior cruciate ligament graft on the left knee where I had a leg brace. I used traditional pads and pillows for my right knee and a ProCare foot brace for my left knee. I can say with confidence that the ProCare foot brace has significantly reduced swelling and pain. Without a footrest, the swelling on my right ankle and lower leg would build up, harden and become painful and it took a considerable amount of time for the painful massage to take place. As the leg rested on the left knee, the edema duly collected towards the groin where the lymph nodes were able to eliminate it. The surgery was more extensive on the left knee, but the swelling and associated pain were kept to a minimum. Without the leg brace, swelling also pooled in the backs of the calves and knees, causing bruising, which made footfall painful in any position, even on soft cushions. With the footrest, the swelling under the shins and knees goes away and it is much more comfortable to stay in the footrest for a longer period of time. By far the best investment I've made in surgery. An absolutely essential part of planning knee surgery and the only thing you need to buy for overnight delivery with a leg injury. The vacuum packaging came in very handy as I had to travel to an operation. If you're going too, take a strap or rope with you, roll up the footrest, and squeeze it a little on the way back.
