Review on πŸ”΄ Torin BIG RED T88011 Portable Horizontal Air Tank - 11 Gallon Capacity, Red, with 50" Hose by Todd Markel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

On the farm I have to pressurize various vehicles and it works great as a portable tire inflator.

As advertised - I've had it for a few days now and it comes with a pressure gauge and hose (although the manual that comes with it says they weren't installed to avoid damage in transit). ). I was a little concerned reading some of the pressure drop reports, but mine holds 120psi with no leaks. According to my gauge, the pressure shown is slightly lower than the reading shown (I think that's just in case, and the error is less than 5%, which is probably within the gauge's spec). On the farm I need to pressurize a variety of vehicles and this is great as a portable tire inflator. I drive my car on off-road trails and expect it to be useful for re-inflating cool tires. Good product and fair price. Coming back to other comments, I've had the tank for 3 months and found I left the hose attached to the inflator with a pressure gauge. I lose pressure overnight. So you have to disconnect the blower (which has its own pressure gauge) to maintain the pressure - I installed a quick disconnect on the end of the hose which makes this easy. The plastic wheel that turns the valve on and off is flimsy and doesn't feel reliable. During operation, this valve doesn't feel positive or tight, and it's a bit difficult to tell if the valve has opened or closed. I gently operate this valve and the quick connect to the hose seems to work. I lose some pressure during the week but I have to charge often enough that it's not a problem.
