This product was promised, but unfortunately it doesn't work properly. I bought for my Macbook to add ports (important including ethernet because it's the fastest internet connection in my office). However, buyers should note that the Ethernet port requires a separate driver and comes with recommended firmware. The driver is misspelled and needs to be reinstalled (including a full reboot) every time you disconnect from the network (i.e. every morning). This is an incredible inconvenience and a disadvantage of the device. In addition, the manufacturer's support website also has recommended firmware updates that are recommended to be removed when the computer is booting due to a file corruption issue. In general, I have a product that is not performing as advertised and intended. I wish I had seen an overview of these shortcomings to avoid making this purchase - I hope this helps others.
