Review on πŸš€ Boost Your Performance with the Competition Electronics Pocket Pro II Timer by Pete Deutsch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as advertised

Replaced the good old RUReady Speed Timer 3000 which was starting to behave strangely. Pocket Pro II runs on a standard 9V battery. I didn't get the CED7000 because of my own lithium battery and wanted something easily replaceable. The belt clip looks well made (I broke the one on the ST3000): spring steel and a sturdy plastic clip. All in all it appears to be a strong product that will survive the impact of tables and other range machines. Offers the features you would expect: sync (obviously), nominal time and RPM function (for NFA Title II toy owners!) Haven't messed around with sensitivity adjustment or echo cancellation. The default settings seemed ok for my internal range. The volume is adjustable for dry training at home. The start signal can be given immediately when you press the start (RO) button, or delayed (arbitrary or fixed delay) when practicing alone. The backlit LCD is a nice upgrade when you're shooting in low light. The only downside: bulkier than ST3000 (hence 4 out of 5 stars). At least you have to make an effort to lose it! Has more functions and display modes than the ST3000 and therefore has more buttons. After a quick read of the manual, you're done. This isn't a rocket operation.

Pros
  • 3 display configurations
Cons
  • Doubtful
