I used ECOGARD on my other car, Honda, and was satisfied. When it came time to change the filter on my Mercedes W140, I decided to try ECOGARD. The filter "looked" like one piece, but: 1) It comes with a plastic frame that makes it very tight. I wish I could take a picture, but the OEM doesn't have that "frame" and the "frame" made the filter too big to just slide in. I had to align it so precisely and had to push it down slightly to make it fit. 2) It doesn't have as many wrinkles as OEM. So I will suggest that the filter efficiency may not be that good. It just shows you that the products of the same company are of different quality. In the end it worked and I will be using it now but when it comes time to replace it again on my W140 I will not be using this brand again.
