Review on πŸš€ High-Performance Intel Core i9-10850K Desktop Processor: Unlocked 10 Cores up to 5.2 GHz (LGA1200) by Fred Griffin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Still a 14nm processor but slightly faster than the 9900k with two extra cores

If the price is right this processor can be impressive. Bought this for an itx build and compared it to my personal 9900k. In single-core mode, both processors reach 5.0 GHz, the 10850k scores a few points more and delivers a few frames per second more in games. The 10850k can use faster RAM and thermal performance is much better. But the maximum 5% difference (note the Z processor scores for 9900k 557 10859k 563) isn't quite worth it. In general, I would only upgrade from Gen 6 or older. With the release of Zen 3 and the new 11th gen I would only buy at a significant discount and you can get a cheap z490 board.

Pros
  • Up to 5.2GHz unlocked
Cons
  • I'll add later
