Review on Dynomax 41976 Connector Pipe by Will Murphy

I purchased a standard Walker 15034 universal catalyst Walker 15034 non-CARB compatible catalyst from Revain and the length was quoted as 16 feet. it was wrong and 13 inches was the correct length. On my 1990 Chevy K2500 350 TBI long cab short deck, the overall length of the converter I replaced was 24 inches, so I bought a 9 inch pipe to make up the difference. With Revain, it's really hard to tell if the measurements shown are for the product or the packaging. And since you can't stretch your exhaust pipes to fit, it matters. This pipe shows it has a 2" inlet and outlet, but that is incorrect. I bought this elsewhere because I wasn't sure if Revain had the wrong size or item number. But I checked the size on the Walker site as 3 inches on both ends. Since my old converter is 24 inches tall and you can only get it in a 49 state direct converter like the Walker 15693 Walker Exhaust 15693 standard household converter, at $130 it's not CARB compliant. This has a short body length but long tubes and costs a lot more than the $60 I paid for the 15034. I'm cheap so I went with the 15034 and added this extension tube and it's fine. As this tube solved my length problem and is listed on the Walker website it is also of the same quality, very heavy and should last for years in my truck. So it gets 5 stars and it saved me from other Revain converter size errors.
