I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

My profile of physical education: mainly cycling, skiing,
occasional home exercise equipment.
I was looking for a monitoring watch primarily for recording GPS tracks for cycling and skiing.
Practice has shown that recording tracks on a smartphone is generally problematic: firstly, it is not always convenient to get a smartphone (especially in cold weather), secondly, the operating system throws applications out of memory,
used to record tracks, even if they have the "don't upload to save power" option.
Began to look for options. I re-read a bunch of reviews - it became clear that ordinary smart watches for physical education are of little use.
For brands specializing in sports watches (Garmin, Suunto, Polar), there are also complaints about almost all models.
Gradually went to Coros. It turned out that exactly as a "Sports watch" there are practically no complaints about Coros products: the reviews are positive. I chose "Coros Pace 2".

Key points - why Coros in general and on "Coros Pace 2" in particular:
1) good feedback on recording and viewing gps tracks
2) excellent battery life
3) the presence of a transreflective display
4) the presence of the function "constant night illumination"
5) do not need functions from a "full-fledged" smart watch (payment, installation of applications, etc. )
6) the presence of a barometer and a barometric altimeter (necessary for alpine skiing to monitor vertical drops on the slopes)
7) acceptable (for a sports watch) price: "Coros Pace 2" is a junior model with a reasonable price.

If you need a smart watch with a touchscreen, music, the ability to pay, install programs, etc. - the coros watch is not for you.
If you need a watch to monitor your workouts, this is a great choice.
I put 4 points out of 5 not because the watch is bad, but because of the shortcomings listed, which are generally not critical.
I bought in June 2022 for 19,000 (with a 10% discount on a discount card).
In general, a very high-quality and functional sports accessory for people involved in physical education and understanding why it is needed.
Satisfied for hours, I recommend.

Pros

1) Acceptable size (not bulky) - at least for a man's hand. 2) Light weight - almost not felt on the hand 3) Excellent operating time from a single charge: in the "just watch" mode with disabled notifications from applications 25-27 days. In the normal GPS track recording mode, the consumption is 3-4% per hour (up to a maximum of 30 hours), in the economical GPS track recording mode, it takes up to 60 hours. 4) The heart rate monitor works quite accurately - I checked it with a heart rate monitor with a chest sensor 5) You can customize the screens in the training mode (the number of screens, the number and composition of counters on each screen) 6) There is a constant night illumination mode (convenient for training at night) 7) Convenient and well-functioning Android smartphone application 8) quickly finds the position on the GPS and accurately writes GPS tracks 9) there is a barometer and a barometric altimeter (works correctly), in addition to the graph, it shows the number of "floors" you climb 10) the screen backlight works adequately 11) there is a thermometer (attention: to obtain correct readings, you must remove the watch from your hand) 12) the ability to upload results to several online services: Strava, Training Peaks, Relive, Final Surge, Runalyze, Apple Health 13) the ability to upload tracks in the following formats: *. fit, *. tcx, *. gpx, *. kml, *. csv 14) the ability to create an arbitrary training plan (I don’t use it, but it’s probably relevant for athletes) 15) no touchscreen and potential problems associated with its use 16) transreflective display - the screen is perfectly readable in the sun 17) there are profiles for different sports, including for the room "exercise bike, etc. " 18) the presence of a correctly working pedometer (there is some error, as with any pedometer, but within reason) 19) there are notifications from applications (I do not use them because they are not needed and to save energy)

Cons

1) [REALLY INCONVENIENT] All interchangeable dials in the "just watch" mode are "flawed" to some extent: a) too primitive ugly / clumsy design - all dials are more or less clumsy: there is not a single one that is elegant and practical at the same time (so that all indications are clearly visible and understandable) b) the reading numbers are either too small or too large, or some of the readings are not displayed c) most interchangeable dials do not display the month (only the day and day of the week) d) there is not a single interchangeable dial, where there would be both seconds and the current date with a month (especially a year) c) on many dials, an unsuccessful font for numbers (too curved tails and sticks - as a result, for example, the numbers 5 and 6 are visually similar) 2) [REALLY INCONVENIENT] The pedometer readings cannot be reset or tied to the start of a workout. Steps are counted exactly on a daily basis from 0 to 24 hours. 3) [REALLY INCONVENIENT] the readings of the heart rate monitor are "delayed" by 5-10 seconds (I checked with a heart rate monitor with a chest sensor) 4)[NO CRITICAL] The stock strap is too soft and elastic (this is good in terms of pressing against the hand for a more accurate heart rate monitor, but it creates inconvenience when fastening and unfastening the strap). I bought a strap from "Coros Apex 42 mm" - it is harder: it became more convenient to fasten. 5)[NON-CRITICAL] every time the application on a smartphone throws a request for permanent work in the background (I refuse all the time, but it does not remember the choice) 6)[NO CRITICAL] the application on the smartphone cannot be turned off - it remains hanging in memory and after a while is unloaded apparently by the operating system itself 7) [UNCRITICAL] not a very convenient solution with a spinning wheel-button (in general, it works fine, but in my subjective opinion, just buttons are more convenient) 8) non-standard charging connector - you need a special cable 9) there is no alpine skiing / snowboarding mode (in this model): you will have to pinpoint "circles" manually 10) [CRITICAL] in the 2022 there is no official guarantee and service (everything will rest on the consciousness of sellers)
