Review on Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Wireless Speaker - Nylon (Old Model): Enhanced Audio Experience on-the-go by Scott Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great sound, super portable, easy bluetooth connection, long battery life!

side-by-side in a variety of settings. Here are my findings. Bose SoundDock Portable: This one had the best sound, beating the Logitech S715i. On the other hand, my iPhone had to be connected to play it. So if the phone was enough or I wanted to make a call or do something with my iPhone, I had to disconnect the phone, meaning no music playing, and then reconnect it to hear it again. Don't take a man's iPhone He needs him all the time! Second, the dock seemed a little weak, like a hard hit and it would come loose and you would be sending your system in for an expensive repair. It's also a bit bulky in terms of portability. Sound Freaq SFQ-01R Sound Platform: Looks great and that's about it. I had no trouble connecting my phone to the system. I turned it on and started listening, bored. The sound was dull and tinny. He was there immediately, three others knocked him out of the water. Rechargeable Logitech S715i: I love this device (almost). This is a great home! The audio stays in balance on the Bose SoundDock until you turn it off. Unplugged it has some sort of volume limiter and base to save battery. boo! I wanted to use the device offline, i.e. without a connection to the network. After all, it has a rechargeable battery in its name. This means that it is designed to be used without a network connection. Big disappointment in that regard. On the plus side it has a cool retro style, a bit like my old boombox from the 80's, only slimmer and better sounding! If the sound when unplugged was the same as when plugged in, this unit would be a clear winner (due to its insanely low price compared to Bose), but sadly it's not. Bose SoundLink Wireless: This was an overall winner for me and the one I now own, use and love. Firstly, the sound is really very good, both at low and high volumes. This kid can pump both high and low frequencies (and middle, of course). The sound is definitely not as good as the Bose SoundDock Portable or the Logitech S715i connected, but definitely better than the Logitech S715i without a network connection. Secondly, it's very easy to connect to multiple Bluetooth devices, it has a small Bluetooth button on top, you press and hold it for a few seconds, the light flashes, it beeps, turn on your device and bam!, you are connected . Third, it's super portable, which is a portable device that I want to take with me. It's the size of a guidebook, slips easily into your backpack, suitcase, or even under your arm and you're good to go. The most portable of all the devices I review here. I love this machine so much I bought a second one and gave it to my girlfriend for Christmas, she takes them to work and uses them there. She complemented his great sound more than once. By the way, if you need a leather case, you should buy a vinyl block.

Pros
  • Integrated cover protects the system and folds out into a stand for listening anywhere
Cons
  • crumples
