Like the other reviewer, I bought these specifically for a trip to Disneyland. Unlike him, mine not only lasted all week, but still look great after a few months. They are very light, very well ventilated and very comfortable for walking on hard surfaces. I wear them when I walk my dog on the street or when I go shopping. However, they are NOT suitable for trail or cross-country hiking: they do not offer lateral support, so they can easily roll off the tread. They also get wet easily, which is a side benefit of being so thin and ventilated. TLDR: long walk on sidewalk? Thumbs up! Are you walking on wet grass or uneven terrain? Thumbs down.
