Review on Olde Thompson Caffe Pepper Shaker by Ryan Hawkins

Nice set but I smelled the same chemical smell. We let them air dry open for a few days but when the smell didn't change; My husband recommended putting salt in both to draw out any odors. I left the salt for a few days and then emptied it. The salt that came out smelled strongly of lacquer or something else that leaves that horrible smell. However, it still smells very strong. I might try exposing them to the hot summer heat to dry them that way. Overall, while not dangerous, it's a very unappetizing odor. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I think you have to smell them carefully when you take them to see if they are dry. I miss our shakers. Hope that helps!
