I love these for beginners! I run an art studio and offer free classes for children with emotional issues who don't do well with traditional therapy. I needed an inexpensive means of doing canvas art exercises and these boards helped me accomplish this at a fraction of the price of traditional canvases. They dry well and, when plastered, cope well with large amounts of paint. However, if they are not properly primed, moisture will warp them. I don't think they work well with any type of infill and on a couple of occasions the canvas came loose from the cardboard backing as the paintings hardened. Absolutely not suitable for watercolor. Good, simple, durable enough for multimedia, the main thing is that they do not get too wet and do not work. Thin thickness and perfect for framing.
