Definitely will not fit in shoes. That downside aside, it provides pain relieving support for my sprained ankle. I think I will mainly use it at home and while sleeping and will opt for KT tape when I am outside in my shoes. Fit Tip: Consider the anatomy of the foot when putting them on. Align the gel supports to anatomically fit your ankles. Only then should you start closing the (very strong) Velcro straps. Fits snugly around the calf and ankle but don't fret - I don't need to be too tight as the crossover straps do most of the work. Crossed Straps!: I have found it easier to do both at the same time, with each appropriate strap crossing the foot, wrapping behind the calf and securing with the level of tension required for injury.
