When I opened the box I immediately saw and felt the excellent quality of this product. However, it initially proved frustrating when I tried to install it and it didn't seem to fit. I then used my calipers to measure the Traxle, my bike's thru-axle, and the inside diameter of my rear dropouts/wheel and that seemed to confirm my frustration. Then I called Kinetic and they suggested I try installing Traxle in the wheel and dropouts. separately. And it goes with both! So it turned out to be "operator error" and I didn't have proper wheel alignment and misfires when trying to install (I'm not sure why my measurements were wrong as I tried carefully). I've since installed the bike on my dumb trainer using Traxle and the setup works great. I will use it for road racing (training on a smart trainer with a different bike). I highly recommend Traxle. A note for those looking for a cheaper solution: Kinetic is a real mechanical shop. Remember that you are installing a spare axle in dropouts which, if not precisely manufactured, can ruin your bike's frame threads. A high quality product is worth its price.
