Love this coat for my dog. The jacket is fastened with Velcro fasteners at the front on the chest and on both sides around the stomach, which makes it very easy to put on and take off. at the top (from the neck to the tail) and around the collar, a detachable collar to insulate the neck and a hole to attach the collar to a leash, and a waterproof outer fabric. After a month of use it is holding up great. The size chart was accurate for my dog. The chest trunk measurement is most important. My dog's chest is 24 inches in circumference when the tape measure is held comfortably and 23 inches when the tape measure is held tightly; I ordered the large in black for my fat dog and am glad I did. The fit is tight, but the side velcro and stretchy fabric covering his tummy make it comfortable, and an XL size would be too long for him. One final note: I wear this jacket with my dog when the outside temperature is in the 40's and low 50's with cool winds. For colder winter temps (30's, 20's etc) I plan to get him a down jacket as it isn't heavily quilted.
