Review on πŸ”Œ Efficient Electric Pencil Sharpener for Schools - School Smart Vertical Sharpener 084437 by Kim Sanchez

Almost perfect

- My observations in no particular order: - The motor is powerful enough; Unlike other cheap sharpeners that slow down when you press hard on the pencil, this one doesn't. The case feels pretty solid and doesn't feel cheap. Several meters of cable make placement easier. sharpens pencils to an almost exaggeratedly long point, resulting in a menacingly sharp point that breaks easily and can be dangerous for young children. Ideal for precision work I think. I'm no sharpener expert, but I've never seen a sharpener make a point that long and precise. - Not adjustable for pencils larger than the typical standard pencil size. - Not particularly loud or quiet, somewhere in between. - Sharpens fairly quickly compared to others I've used. The black thing on the front is a chip holder. He has no back. As soon as you pull it out, the shavings fall out, so emptying requires holding the entire device over the dirt, which can be problematic for those with small or weak hands. - Pins slide down instead of forward as they should. The device stays in place when pressed. You don't have to use your other hand to keep it from sliding across the table like you do on many occasions when facing forward. This is an excellent design IMO. The ad claims that the blades will stop automatically after sharpening is complete. That's only half true in my opinion. The blades don't stop, but they do stop sharpening. Once a pencil has a good point, the blades no longer touch, allowing you to intelligently push it all the way through. It does not turn off the power supply to the incisors. Maybe mine is wrong in that regard. I'm honestly not sure what it's supposed to do exactly, but it works, so I don't care. Lift the device to empty it. Otherwise it's perfect for my use.
