The new hand-held transmitters are well programmed!
I saved money by buying Chrysler Jeep key fobs online - the dealer wanted hundreds of dollars for a new key fob and the programming - the key engraving was free at the local hardware store and the programming (I can't do it yourself without TWO working car keys) cost $55 + tax.
