Razor Synapse, the software required to edit mouse settings, requires you to sign in with an account record. Here's why it's bad: Razer ID and Synapse software didn't accept my previous password the other day for an unknown reason, and it was only fixed by resetting the password. Because of this, entering the password incorrectly 3 times prevented me from entering the newly installed Synapse (20 minutes), giving me no opportunity to configure the mouse until the lock was removed and the new password reconfigured. TBH, the login system should be optional for users wanting to use the cloud, but never mandatory as it can prevent you from setting up your own hardware. I've looked online and there is no workaround for this. I will change my rating if they add an 'offline' mode.
