I do a lot of work on all my cars and it took about an hour. makes it MUCH easier) Installation is simple and straightforward if you already have everything you need. But it takes about an hour from start to finish for both sides if you remove and reattach all the trim to make it look original. My advice, if you order them, remove the trim and cut the hole before it goes in. It takes 5 minutes to reassemble everything after you take it down. If you have an 04-06 and want to reuse the fairing, I've posted a photo with instructions for those of you who like to work ahead. 1.5" below and 2.75" inside is what it says in the photo. The quality seems great. Surprised they are so cheap. would recommend.
