Review on πŸ’‘ Amazon Basics 8-Outlet Power Strip Surge Protector - 4,500 Joule, 6-Foot Cord, Black/Green by Matthew Blustein

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not what I was hoping for.

I bought this product hoping I could combine power cords for some network devices. Most devices use wall mounted power supplies. I could see from the photos that I couldn't use all the sockets because they are too close together, which is normal. I figured I could stun them and use at least 5 or 6. As it turned out I could only use 3 if using any wall warts. Outlets are not only too close together in a row of five outlets, but also too close together. I have attached photos showing the close range. If Revain's engineers had put a little thought into how they would be used in the real world, it could be really good. Oh well. The green light is bright but where I wanted to use it wouldn't weigh it down. All in all I'm disappointed for now and will have to look around for another that better suits my needs. I will keep these. A surge protector with a 12-foot cord and switch for less than $10 can always come in handy.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
