Beware of bright green light

Robust design and easy handling. Too bad I didn't read the reviews before buying. Intense bright green lights can do much more than just "glow". They literally light up a dark room. To use the item in the bedroom, you needed half a roll of tape to block the light so you could sleep. I would give this product 5 stars if the bulbs were swapped out for sleep friendly red bulbs or just removed altogether.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Other Other

I can't even put two Kindle bases side by side or opposite each other on this surge protector. The concept is great. I like the slim design, but I really needed a little more space between all the outlets. It has a fairly bright green light that keeps glowing. The only way to turn it off is to turn off the power. I think I need to try another surge protector to fulfill the 4 things I need.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Frequency

Works well but the indicator light is too bright.

For this price the device is fine. It comes with a standard 6 inch power cord like most others. If you need all 6 feet of cable, that's fine, but if you need to coil the cable in a tight space, good luck. Another problem is the laser green "protected" light. It glows with a bright green alien light and illuminates the entire equipment cabinet. I ended up having to cover it with black tape because this glow got tired very quickly. The unwieldy cord and extra tape earned it 3 stars instead of 5…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I don't mind, everything is fine

It just works! - Power distribution and surge protector

First, forgive me for the sloppy cable routing. I wanted people to see it in the wild, so to speak. The RevainBasics 8 Outlet 4500J Surge Protector 6ft Cord does the job just fine. This is not a fancy surge protector. It's straight forward but offers good protection at 4500 joules. The ground light is bright as you can see giving peace of mind. You know at a glance that your expensive equipment is protected. If you need a surge protector that has more room for larger power supplies…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Unreliable

Not what I was hoping for.

I bought this product hoping I could combine power cords for some network devices. Most devices use wall mounted power supplies. I could see from the photos that I couldn't use all the sockets because they are too close together, which is normal. I figured I could stun them and use at least 5 or 6. As it turned out I could only use 3 if using any wall warts. Outlets are not only too close together in a row of five outlets, but also too close together. I have attached photos showing the close…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Has UL changed its requirements for Class I SPDs? This device does not have the expected forward voltage of 330V. According to the specs molded into the bottom of this device, the forward voltage for the LN is 400V. Every source I see online lists the following for UL 1449. Class I = 330V; Class II = 400V; Class III 500VRevains 12-Output Surge Protector, B07GPF72BZ, also lists Class I in its manual. However, unlike this unit, it clearly shows 330V for LN (Hot Line/Neutral) if you look at the…

  • Great for me

DON'T TRUST THIS

MY HOUSE FIRED DOWN. Thank god I took an extra day off. I've only had it for over a month. I smelled an electrical fire and as I entered the living room, smoke was coming out from behind my fish tank. I quickly turned off the electrical switch on the stabilizer. When I pulled it out, it warped and melted. I only had 4 hooked up: a small aquarium filter, a light, a protein skimmer and a small bowl. This should handle 8 120 volt outlets. I guess I wasn't surprised as it was made in China. Mine…

Pros
  • USER FRIENDLY DESIGN: Widely spaced bins with sliding covers and a hole in back for optional wall mounting
Cons
  • Something else

How many joules do you need?

How Many Joules Do You Need? Here's the breakdown. 1000 - lamps, mixers, digital clocks, small electronics. 2000 - power tools, printers, routers, copiers, office equipment. 3000 and up - home theater components, soundbars, computers, subwoofers, synths, DJ gear and whatever. which stores important information. I'm a music producer and audio engineer and have used countless surge protectors in my career and this may be one of the best devices I've come across. Devices green LEDs ensure that…
