I use the pen holder as a sort of elastic band to keep my journal "closed" and even just on the outside, when I do write to the scheduler. Two to three pens fit in, depending on how wide they are or whether they have extra pens on them. I can also attach accessories to either side of the ones in the holder... (sometimes I like to use different colors or it just ends up being too many pens/pencils to use elsewhere!). The color is bright, the stitching is strong, and the elasticity is good. I have bought several as gifts and this is my second for personal use. I still have one in my diary. Practical, functional, looks great, works great! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
