Not very warm but do the job and hold up well.
Size S is perfect for a 50 inch 8 year old who weighs 55 pounds. If I had bought them for the warmth I might have been disappointed. They are great as a cover up against bare legs under sweatpants for cold weather sports. Many washes and still intact.
