Chopper failed after a month with pepper. General use? Maybe 30 seconds for 5 days a week? Unacceptable. My coffee grinders have been in service for 15-20 years without any problems. EDIT July 4th 2021: My order history shows that I have ordered at least 4 sets of these grinders over the last 4 years and they have lasted from just under a week to a couple of months to just over a year. They were used to grind just plain pink salt and black pepper as a spice for preparing dinner - which is what they were specifically designed and marketed for. They're not really of much use. This latest coffee grinder broke two months after purchase. Failures occur when the plastic housing or rotor breaks. During normal use I have always seen the three spoke top plastic case broken in all three places and just like this time I have seen the mill rotor broken and falling out of the case as shown in the photo. It's a cheap imported product and while I've obviously given it many chances in hopes of reliability, it's not. I would recommend resisting the temptation to buy this and looking for something that can be more valuable and reliable. Because I ended up losing almost $80 and still don't have a reliable coffee grinder, so there are definitely better options to choose from. Hope that helps.
