These inserts would be valuable if they even fit into a standard American cupcake pan. But that's not the case. They are too short to reach the top of the cup and too wide at the bottom to reach the bottom. If you press the bottom while trying to reshape the fold, the sides will sag even after you've filled them with thick batter. You can mess around with them for a lot longer than they're worth, and eventually you'll have to dig the paper out of the middle, with a significant amount of pastry stuck to the paper. It's not a deal if you end up throwing them away.
