after placing an order.I read one-star reviews and started to worry so much because they all say one thing. 'It leaks' As far as how my installation went.this thing is not leaking. You only have to follow a few steps that are not clearly described in the manual.1. The measurement is the keyall you gotta take a look at is the brass nipple connector in the box. It is 2" long, both sides are male-threaded. the longer thread goes to the faucet while the shorter side is going to the drop ear elbow on the wall. make sure you calculate the total thickness of your cover layer (drywall, tile, thin-set, etc) so you get around 3/4 inch thread bump out to the wall after the tile job. The manual says .5" is minimum so you got to make sure you have a bit of buffer depth there.2. apply more than enough amount of Teflon tape and thread sealantThe teflon tape is in the kit already but I pruchased megaloc sealant separately. Upon installation, you need to make sure to give at least 3-4 overlaps on the thread, especially the faucet contact side. After that, rub the thread inside the faucet with enough amount of sealant paste.3. tight and not too tightafter the teflon job, hand tight the brass nipple to the wall.I'd probably give a soft tight, which allows at least 1 more full turn after the full installation. this method ensure you have enough spins left to make the faucet at the right angle. you DON'T want the faucet points north.after that, begin to putting the faucet to the thread on the wall. (make sure you placed the mounting flange. I did not screw them in.this is just my preference) do not go all the way in. half inch insert is prob enough to get a leak free as long as you gave enough sealant and the taping. if water test is a pass.just get the level and turn a bit so you get the perfect angle.* You must remove the aerator from the faucet before the water test because the first gallon will be a ton of sealant and debris from plumbing. you need a wrench to remove that. it is tightened very softly.* conclusion.I made so many mistakes during installation and I was about to give up on installing this pot filler but I wanted to make sure these failures were not because of the problem with the product, but of me being an inexperienced pot filler installer. My assumption was right and I finally achieved a water-tight seal. I am not sure if this pot filler will be eventually failing at some point so I will keep an eye on this and will revise this review if needed.
