They attach very easily to the wooden legs of our dining chairs. I would like to get wider ones because they are very, very narrow. They're not as soft as the felt sticky pads you can get, but they're also not the kind that easily scratch our floors. It's almost like compacted felt. Small hairs also fall out at first. Nothing major, just a little here or there. After use, they wear out quickly, and that's not a problem. I love that I don't have to worry about the pad coming off - we had sticky pads on the piano bench and no one noticed any of the pads coming off. until the whole square foot of wood floor was dented and scratched by that one leg of the piano bench when the children moved it and sat on it. Now we have a new floor and I like knowing it won't fall off. I just found them a little softer.
