I'm not a music lover. However, I like to find good headphones/speakers. I also have a sound card in my computer. My previous speakers were the Bose Companion 2 Series 3 which I thought sounded pretty good, they just didn't sound loud enough. After looking around for an upgrade and returning the Logitech Z625, I saw many recommendations for these speakers as a budget audiophile option. During the initial setup, I was amazed at the sound quality without the need for a subwoofer for all types of music. I haven't heard anything that clear. After using them for about a week, I decided to give it my all and put a pair of SUB8s in my bedroom. I thought they were as good when I originally set them up, but the SUB8 really cleared up music and high action scenes after cranking the crossover to 60 and will easily rock my walls with bass. I would never turn them to maximum, they would be too loud. The added benefit of these speakers is that they gave me a lot more input. Now I have my TV and my computer connected to my TV with my console. You can easily switch between inputs with the included remote control. These speakers are good at everything. Games sound great. Movies and music sound boomy, but not cloudy. If you're not an audiophile and just need a good speaker upgrade for your Xbox/TV/PC or literally whatever, you won't be disappointed at all. I recommend bringing your SUB8 if you can, but you don't need it. My brother bought a smaller pair of YU4s after hearing how they sounded.
