Review on LCA™ Clear, Light Cure Acrylic Kit: Easy DIY Surface Repair for Granite, Marble, and Porcelain by Jake Atonyo

It takes patience, patience and more patience

I just successfully repaired a flat 1/2" x 3/4" chip on my granite countertop. Long story short, I was trying to enlarge the hole in the countertop from 1 3/8" to 1 1/2" and I didn't have a diamond tipped tool. I lost my patience as I grinded it more. I've read a lot of bad reviews about the UV Curing Acrylic Repair Kit. I decided to give it a try since it's the only solution that's also used by professionals. Like others, I let it heal for much longer than just a few minutes. I attached a UV LED to the cup and let it shine on the repaired chip for 45 minutes. After that, you may feel that it is still sticky. Then I left it without LED light for several hours (I went shopping with my wife). Then the putty should harden completely. Be very careful when sanding the repaired area. It takes patience, patience and more patience. After about 15 minutes of very light sanding, I had the repair completely flush with the countertop. Then a few more minutes to make the stain shine like a countertop.
