I foolishly ignored reviews of how this mic picks up interference from WiFi sources, electronics, etc. Did a quick test with the mic installed and didn't think it sounded much better than the built in mic on my Canon T6i. But no noise. Then I went to shoot a video on YouTube and I heard all these noises and clicks - like your phone is too close to the microphone and you hear the cellphone signal chirping. Completely ruined the clips and had to redo them. One difference is that it was closer to my Wi-Fi router than it was during testing, and I also used a 2.4GHz Xvive wireless guitar device. So maybe that helped. But there is no way to shoot videos for the GearGasms channel in an electronics-free space. Luckily I'm sending it back today. The search for a decent microphone continues.
