Seems to be doing exactly what it's supposed to do

I've started to notice strange behavior with my home entertainment system. Sometimes my receiver decides it doesn't want to display HDMI sources and the screen starts flickering. It always did it randomly and unplugging and restarting the problem fixed it. I've been doing this more and more lately. Also, my Fire TV would sometimes not go to sleep. When I got home, I found that my television had been turned on several times. At first I thought my cat stepped on the remote but after he removed the remote it still happened. So I figured noise/surges/surges on power lines might be the cause. My system was already hooked up to an old surge protector, but I figured it might be worth upgrading to see if that helps. (At least if not I would have more outlets) So I bought the Tripp Lite based on the specs and reviews. I've only owned it for a little over a month, but all the weird behavior from my devices has completely gone. Without matching an oscilloscope to the datalog I can't tell how good the filtering/stabilization really is, but I know it seems to have solved my problems and I rest a little better when we're strong have thunderstorms. knowing that this device stands between my electronics and the outside world. Aside from its surge suppression/filtering abilities, it also feels solid, which has been my impression of all the Tripp Lite products I've come across, the outlets are fairly widely spaced. to accommodate most "wall warts" power adapters without blocking adjacent outlets, and the cord is way longer than I need. I also like that the body is made of durable aluminum. I've always hated plastic extension cords. Maybe they are completely safe, but personally I prefer the metal case. Also a plus are the protection/fault indicators, which allow you to see the status at a glance. It also looks pretty easy to wall mount if you're up for it.
