Very reliable product - just what I needed.

The goods arrived quickly enough - very good impression after unpacking. For the base plate and mounting method, I used 1/8" sheet steel and a 3/8" threaded rod. I used lock nuts as an extra security measure. I had to drill holes to 3/8ths, but with my drill press it wasn't a problem. I think they are 5/16 out of the box. I used a 4 1/2 hole saw to drill four holes around the bed. Each of them used about half the battery (Dewalt 1.5A 20V). The hooks rotate smoothly, I haven't used them yet but I'm sure they will live up to my expectations. If I ever need hooks again, I'll get new ones. They may rumble on the road, but my 6.9-liter straight-tube diesel engine crushes them with no problem.
