Precision Fit, Great Price, Easy Installation - But Will It Last?

This product matched our van's OEM door lock perfectly. Installation was very quick and easy. But it looks like it's made out of relatively lightweight plastic. Our old bar lasted 20 years before UV rays destroyed it and made it brittle. While this bar is a great value, time will tell how long it will last.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

But holds up well. Plastic

I would give this product 3 1/2 stars if it was available. Nice product but be aware it's crazy plastic! come with all the screws, not to mention white screws to match the color of the product. Luckily I had some white screws from a recently installed storm door so that wasn't a problem. So if you buy them, be prepared to find your own screws to install them.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

UPDATED Working, both broke within a year

Seems to be working. Just as cheap as the originals that came on a cargo trailer. Keep in mind that the odd screw head is most likely just a square shank, not a torx or hex. .UPDATE: BOTH broke in less than a year. Both the rod and the part that goes on the trailer are broken. So I just went to the local RV and bought some metal parts. If you don't have wind or staff who aren't paying attention, you might be fine

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • No performance

Pay attention to what's included.

I wasn't paying attention when I ordered this product for my trailer. I just looked at the whole product and when it arrived there were no screws or rubber gaskets. Didn't catch this little piece until I went to change my old ones. The old screws rusted so I had to buy new ones, then the rubber seals were replaced with silicone sealant. As far as what you get the product seems good, just no replacement screws or gaskets.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • High price

Simple and effective

Being made of *plastic* and UV degrading over time (which is why I replaced the old ones) they offer a good pick Value for money quality and very easy to install and use. In our case, I simply removed the original device and it is convenient to install using the same mounting holes. If you're doing a "fresh" install, I suggest using the ribbon to find and save the best location for your own application. Make sure your door is clear of obstructions (sunroof supports, etc.) and that both pieces…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
