Very soft. Great fit! Not too tight around the armpits like most others I've tried. Stretches to allow room for growth and allow the dog to move easily. Very warm material but not too thick. The long neck doesn't let it slide down the body too much. We are very happy with this purchase! My Doberman is 19 months old and weighs 75 pounds and I bought him a large one. He fits great and has little room to grow if he gains some weight with age.
