These shorts run true to size and are made from a comfortable soft cotton material. The camouflage print shorts are a little rough on the outside due to the patterned print. I washed the gray pair the same way I normally wash children's clothes - a warm water washer and low temperature dryer. I left the camouflage shorts out of the wash to compare shrinkage. It has slightly shrunk after a single wash, but is minimal and not noticeable when worn.
