I was really impressed with the quality of these pants. The fabric is very smooth and opaque. It has real functional pockets. The back pockets are small but can hold a small bunch of keys or a small wallet. The front pockets are slightly larger and easily fit my phablet-sized smartphone. I think you could do yoga or walk around with your phone in your pocket if you must (the outline of the phone will be visible through your pants). It was very easy to trim the inseam. I'm a quilter so I used my cutting knife, ruler and cutting mat. I recommend taking your time trimming and trying on between cuts. I would say the pants run small. I think you will not regret if you buy them. I'm already considering buying a different color.
