Poor quality control or packaging

Based on the description, a stronger construction was expected (sheet metal is brittle and easily damaged). Like almost everything, the crates of yore seem to have been made of better materials. This sheet metal feels light and flexible. In fact, it arrived damaged. Despite the double frame, the bottom corner of the door was dented, and the rivet on the top door was noticeably tilted to one side. I believe this happened at the factory as there is no damage to the packaging. Also, the black coating around this clasp is incomplete, likely made more visible by damage. Maybe it will look better after I put it back in place. Post-installation observations: The sheet metal and construction is really inferior to the 1960's galvanized box that I replaced, which I am keeping and will be restoring and repairing. It is clear that this new box is only temporary. The annoying thing is that it uses as few rivets as possible and you can see daylight through the bottom of the box where it folds away from the sides. Two more rivets on each side would have mitigated this. Also, it's unforgivable that the bottom of the box was not leveled before it was riveted, and a 3/8" washer was required along its entire length to level the box on the mounting platform.
