Beware of temperature sensitivity
I live in the south and have had the hard experience that they are very temperature sensitive when installed. My filter is out at the pump station and I have extra filters and o-rings stored there. Installation in winter is not a problem. In the summer, they're too big to fit properly and they won't be airtight. I keep them inside until I need them. Also, the fat they send is very sticky and sometimes difficult to get a good seal. Instead, I use petroleum jelly to prevent leakage.
