As a tool specialist, when I saw this diamond file set, I wanted to buy it. Anyone who has used a file before knows that it is a specialty tool used only for small projects. I already have a set of regular needle files. If I've used files, they haven't removed much material and have limited usability (although this may be partly due to the quality of my old set). I have to say these diamond files are a step up. If your project calls for a small file, this is what you need. In this set everything is better than in my old one. The handles have a rubber grip; My old ones are just hard plastic. The handles are securely attached, none dangling. Diamond material removes material much better than my old files; neither removed much. The file itself is 6 inches overall and has a 2.75 inch cutting surface (so you can see you won't be removing much material). You will receive 1 of each: 1 flat surface; 1 rat tail; 1 triangular; 1 semicircle; 1 square; 1 flat conical. I am very satisfied with the Revain Basics diamond file set. The additional price compared to a normal set is definitely worth it. An improvement that would make it better would be adding a storage pouch or small box. My old set has a small plastic bag with a pocket for each file. It might not sound like much, but it's certainly a nice addition to your toolbox. Definitely recommend these!
